RCMP RELEASE:
On Sept. 4, 2023, Bonnyville RCMP stopped a vehicle on Highway 660 in the Municipal District of Bonnyville. In the course of the vehicle stop, officers discovered drugs and money in the vehicle and the driver was arrested. A search of the vehicle incidental to arrest resulted in locating a quantity of suspected methamphetamine and crack cocaine, as well as a quantity of Canadian currency.
Kyle Roth (38), a resident of Cold Lake, was arrested and charged with the following:
- Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of property obtain by crime
After a Judicial Interim Release Hearing, Roth was released on cash bail to appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Bonnyville on Sept. 5, 2023.
